PLEASE HELP MELVIN THE DOG….

So its been a long while since I made a post but here is some stuff that rounded out 2010 and brought in the beginning of 2011. I hope you enjoy them. The end of last year i painted a bunch of flash sheets, more as a learning / getting comfortable with what I find being more of my personal style. The last flash sheet was a split with Bryan Kachel From Cicada Tattoo in Seattle. This is the second sheet of 2. It was a lot of fun doing split sheets, I plan to do more of that sort of thing this year. The moth tattoo is on my friend Shay Roth. It was a lot of fun and well needed. The Russian Doll is on my girlfriend Jessica, It is in her inner arm and a bit swollen so the photo is a bit wonky. I will post a healed and less swollen photo later. The other 2 tattoos were walk-in tattoos. They were a lot of fun, and I have had a great time in trying to hone my grey wash skills, it is  a tough business.  This year seems to be off to a great start both business wise and personally. I hope all is well with everyone else as well.

ON A SIDE NOTE…… one of my good friends and former co-workers JOHN RAFTERY needs everyones help. His puppy dog melvin was diagnosed with a Brain tumor that if left untreated will result in death within a short time. We are asking that you visit this blog and donate if you can… There are also paintings for sale via Johns Blog and His Twitter. Please do a great person and a great dog the favor of a few dollars every bit helps…

It’s not to be afeared. It is not to be feared. It is a friend. It’s a friend…

Some newish tats..Ed Hardy rat from flash. sorry for the crummy photos. The last is a painting for a business card for the owner of the shop where I work. I’m working on a couple flash and small painting projects as well, which will be posted soon. Thank you for watching..

“So my opinion is that you be kind to children and be kind to seniors and take the potion like they used to take in ancient Greece and step over quietly because we are not committing suicide; it’s a revolutionary act. We can’t go back; they won’t leave us alone. They’re now going back to tell more lies, which means more congressmen. And there’s no way, no way we can survive…….Don’t be afraid to die. You’ll see, there’ll be a few people land out here. They’ll torture some of our children here. They’ll torture our people. They’ll torture our seniors. We cannot have this.” – Jim Jones, November 18, 1978

i hope the seasons treat you kind…

The Painting of Custer is for an art show at a Seattle tattoo shop called Under the Needle. The paintings for that show are going to be collected into a book.  The Mayan Painting is for my good buddy Matt Beacham..  and a couple of tats. The all seeing eye wasnt my artwork, it was from some internet graphic. enjoy.
